A Piano Guitar Duo Concert

30th May 2003 London

Two budgets:

Actual £ is the actual physical income and expenditure, with everything else as benefit-in-kind or volunteered.

Market £ is the market rates - if everything has to be costed out, including time spent. We would have needed a further £1,670 in sponsorship or donations for the concert to breakeven, and not rely on volunteers.

The concert took place at the Vestry Hall which is part of the London College of Music and Media, of Thames Valley University. Because the university's policy prohibited a ticketed concert, we chose to sell the programmes for £1 each and CD's for £10 each, expecting the rest to be made up of voluntary donations. In hindsight we might have received more income by selling the programmes for £10 and not ask for donations.
